Published!

I'm a published writer y'all!!! Well, sort of. Two of my articles have recently been published. And the links are provided below:

They are only for websites... but still. I got paid didn't I? Right now I'm working on another freelance project. There is a new site that will be launching in September. It is a site where people can go to search for gifts for people. For example: I need to buy a gift for my little (hypothetical) 9 year old nephew Timmy... and I think I want to get him a book... how do I know what 9 year olds like? Of course the easy answer is, ask his mom/dad... but then the site wouldn't have to exist. So the next easiest way is to go to Mojolists.com. There are many compiled top 10 lists of the best books and movies, etc, for any age range or topic (action, romance, westerns, etc). I myself am compiling lists of books (50 lists to be exact). Then I'll get paid... thank god!

Freelancing is not what I thought it would be. There are plenty of jobs out there... but most of them involve technical/technology writing. As you can see from my 2 abouve articles... that is not what I do. I have had a few jobs here and there. I have to pay my dues and have a good collection of clippings before I can really send my work somewhere that matters. Maybe this time next year I'll be published in The New Yorker or Time Magazine... or at least US Weekly (for those of you who get my gossip column!!). We'll see...
