Get well, get well soon... we wish you to get well...

Remember that episode of Seinfeld where Elaine is annoyed that her co-workers are celebrating every little thing someone does... like if they have a birthday, promotion, retirement, baby, sick day, if someone sneezes, etc...

That is how my new department. I'm not complaining... but damn, every day we have some sort of celebration of something where food is brought in and we gather round in the conference room. I'm loving the free food and all, but I'm going to reverse my progress w/ the weight lose if I keep this shit up.

I imagine there being a frickin' parade if I cam back to work being out for a sick day. I have the song from Elaine's office stuck in my head with her yelling "That's not even a song!!!" Hahahaha

In the last few weeks, we've had a welcome breakfast for me, out to lunch for my b-day, out to lunch for another's b-day, and a retirement breakfast this morning. Within the next few weeks we have a luncheon for my boss' b-day, a Secret Santa lunch (w/ booze!!), a lunch w/ my boss' boss (he takes all the girls out together in my department for a nice lunch), dinner w/ the 5 Talent ladies, Company x-mas party, another retirement, and probably another b-day. Yikes!!! I gotta request they bring in some carrot sticks for me or something!

"Get well, get well soon, we wish you to get well. Get well, get well soon, we wish you to get well."

never EVER complain about getting free food and alcohol! shit, if we were still in college not making ANY income, we would do whatever we could to get into something like that!

George: Call her and give her the "it's me" routine...Pull the 'ole Swith-a-roo on her, that will show her!

Jerry: No, I think that's "What's good for the goose is good for the gander"

George: What exactly is a Gander anyway?

Jerry: I think it is a goose that's had the 'ole Switch-a-roo pulled on him.

Think of it as it is going to lunch practice. They may be evaluating you for that day when you may be called upon to take someone out to lunch. Not all of us have those skills. :)
