Work Load
I must say that I get a good dose of the guilty tingles in my stomach most days at work. True there is the occasional day where I'm just as busy, if not more than my co-workers... but those are few and far between. My question (or observation... if you will...) is should I feel bad when I'm not that busy.
Many of my co-workers are running like chickens w/ their heads cut off around the office everyday, while I am leisurely getting my work done (on time, mind you). I have many a time offered my services; sometimes they accept, sometimes not. However, I have no come to try to avoid them when they are all busy. Not to be selfish, but I enjoy my slow times at the office. And please note that not ONCE has anyone offered to help me when I'm busy. Not that I need to defend myself you you all... you're on my side. Right?
Controlling your work load is like trying to stop the water in the toilet from swirling clockwise when you flush it (counter for you Australians). Planning ahead and being organized can only take you so far. It has worked for me for the past 7 month... but I can just tell that a storm is-a-brewin'. Guilt or no guilt... i need to enjoy my downtime while it lasts.
Shout out to Linz... payback i guess!
