Brown bag lunch

How big of a loser do you feel like whilst eating your brown bag lunch at your desk? I feel like a big one most times.

I do get asked to go to lunch occasionally, and I'll go most of the time, but in the effort to save money and eat healthier I have been brown bagging it for the last few weeks. Only my lunch isn't even in a brown bag... it's in a grocery bag from Farmer Jack's. Nice!

Sometimes I just hate sitting here eating in my cube. We don't have a cafeteria downstairs, nor anywhere to sit outside (plus it's raining today!). Mid-bite into my delicious spinach salad (... delicious???) someone inevitably walks in and has something they need or wants to talk. Plus I always always always spill something on me. It is like a curse or some sort of practical joke by way of the cubicle gods above. Then I'm forced to walk around w/ either a wet spot or a stain looking like a slob for the rest of the day.

I guess I should just stop eating at work huh?

hahahaha. I see many a person with the ever so fancy plastic grocery bag lunch. Meh, whatev, it's free, and it works. I however, choose to sport the cute insulated tote from eddie bauer. This way, lunch/beverages/etc, stay cold until lunchtime! (think about it--$10 Target.

If I am not out with a client, I always eat lunch at my desk. It gives me an opportunity to read something entertaining, other than Industry standards, tax codes and legal briefings; I am otherwise required to read.

As far as what bag you bring your lunch in goes, whether it is a leather brief case, plastic tote, or plastic grocery bag, makes little difference. It's not what you carry that truly measures you; it is how you carry your self. If someone wants to judge you otherwise
F***em!
