Seacrest is Kathy's bitch

This past friday I went to see Kathy Griffin perform live in Detroit. Hilarious!

I can't even express how happy I was with this show. I have seen Chris Rock live... I've even seen Jerry Seinfeld live... but nothing compares to seeing Kathy Griffin's off-the-cuff humor. Truly worth every penny I spent.

She covered just about every major topic: her reality show, American Idol, Seacrest, Clay Aiken, Iraq, Detroit celebrities, her parents, Britney Spears, and dun dun daaaaaaaaaaaa... OPRAH!

I was in heaven. I love love love loooooove celeb gossip, so this was right up my comedic alley. She was on-point with just about anything she said. But the thing I love about her is her stand up style. Most comedians have their "bits" with the working worked out... just so. Basically like memorizing a script. But if you have watched any episode of Kathy's reality show My Life On The D-List, you'd see that she just writes down bullet points (about an hour before the show). He comedy is so spur of the moment, which is how you can tell she is really that exceptionally funny in person. She playes off recent events and stories of celeb encounters from her personal life.

One of my favorite stories she told Friday was of her new war w/ Seacrest. Funniest shit! Her original feud with Seacrest was when they presented together at the American Music Awards and he ripped her top off as a sort of "bit", however, she was not informed this would be happening. He claimed it had been planned... but I'd take her word over his anyday! Then, she was fired from E! while he got this new cushy job there... however, recently she was invited to be on his radio show, so she decided to make nice, just kissing his ass to plug the show. He began taking cheap shots at her (talking about her plastic surgery, etc) and she was letting it slide, but then he took it one step too far saying something along the lines of, "How is your sex life? Do you even HAVE a sex life?" She had it and mentioned Teri Hatcher. Genius. He was back peddling so fast. She said she wanted to know about Teri (since Teri had been on Oprah saying Ryan hadn't called her since they were photographed kissing on that beach), and he said he didn't have to answer to her since it was his show. I believe she said something else, then he hung up on her. She couldn't believe it, and since she had about 8 other morning radio interviews after, she made sure to spread the word on the hilarious story. About an hour later, producers from Seacrest's show were calling her telling her to stop telling people he hung up on her. She refused. They said he edited the tapes and now she has no proof that he did. Fortunately, one of her amazing fans got an mpeg of the real interview. I can't find it anywhere, but I'd love to hear it.

It was SUCH a great show!!!!!!!!!
